Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Floor Supervisor to join our team at our store in Brentwood, MO. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and managing store staff effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, retail industry experience, and a passion for creating a welcoming shopping environment. Duties Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure operational efficiency. Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates and team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Manage inventory levels through stock control, merchandising, and replenishment to optimize product availability. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with professionalism to maintain high satisfaction levels. Coordinate scheduling, shift management, and employee orientation to ensure adequate staffing coverage. Assist with purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to drive sales growth. Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and financial recordkeeping. Support training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and operational knowledge. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and health regulations. Skills Proven experience in supervising retail teams within the retail industry or similar environments. Strong management capabilities with excellent leadership and organizational skills. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping. Exceptional communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are advantageous. Skilled in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, and cash handling. Adept at retail math including pricing strategies, sales calculations, budgeting, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of merchandising techniques, marketing strategies, and operational management. Experience in training & development programs aimed at enhancing team performance. Ability to foster a positive work environment through effective managerial communication.
