Seasonal Gift Shop Employee Boldt Castle -Heart Island Employment Type:
Seasonal | Full-Time or Part-Time Position Summary The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority is seeking friendly and reliable Seasonal Gift Shop Employees to work at the Boldt Castle Gift Shop on Heart Island. Employees provide excellent customer service, assist visitors with merchandise selection, and process retail sales in a fast-paced tourist environment. Essential Duties- Greet visitors and provide courteous, professional customer service
- Operate a cash register and accurately process sales transactions
- Stock, restock, and organize merchandise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gift shop
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Address customer questions and refer concerns to a supervisor when necessary
- Perform other duties as needed to support daily operations Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow established procedures and directions Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise and supplies
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as bending and reaching Schedule Requirements
- Seasonal position; full-time or part-time hours available
