Operations Lead Position Summary The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary while ensuring compliance, exceptional customer service, and efficient store performance. This role serves as a key leader on the sales floor, managing opening and closing procedures, supporting team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all operational standards are met. The Operations Lead acts as a role model for the team and helps create a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for both customers and employees. MUST BE 21+ Key Responsibilities - Store Operations Perform all opening and closing procedures, including securing the facility, cash reconciliation, and alarm activation/deactivation. Ensure the dispensary is clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for business each day. Maintain operational excellence by following all company policies, SOPs, and state cannabis regulations. Monitor daily store performance and communicate operational updates to management. Team Leadership Lead by example and provide guidance and support to budtenders and other team members throughout each shift. Delegate tasks and ensure daily responsibilities are completed efficiently. Assist with onboarding and training new employees on operational procedures and compliance standards. Foster a positive, professional, and customer-focused work environment. Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service and assist with resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Support sales goals by ensuring team members provide knowledgeable product recommendations and maintain a positive shopping experience. Step in to assist during high-volume periods and ensure smooth customer flow. Inventory & Compliance Assist with inventory counts, product receiving, restocking, and inventory reconciliation. Verify all cannabis products are properly labeled, stored, and tracked according to state regulations. Ensure all compliance requirements are followed, including age verification, ID checks, and accurate point-of-sale transactions. Report inventory discrepancies or compliance concerns to management immediately. Cash Handling Perform register audits and cash drawer counts. Prepare deposits and complete end-of-day cash reconciliation. Maintain accountability for cash handling procedures and minimize discrepancies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or cannabis preferred. Knowledge of cannabis products and applicable state regulations is preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must meet all state requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis dispensary. Will Need to Pass Criminal Background Check Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking of merchandise.
