Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized hands on Shop Manager to lead our workshop operations and ensure the seamless functioning of our service facility. As a vital part of our team, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate equipment assembly, repairs, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your leadership will drive productivity, foster a positive work environment, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with strong fabrication and mechanical expertise and proven management skills to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily shop operations, including scheduling workflow and allocating resources effectively Oversee assembly and repair of equipment such as trailers, construction equipment, and small machinery Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry standards, including hydraulics, and electrical systems Manage inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for repairs and fabrication tasks Lead a team by example providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize productivity Coordinate with customers to understand their needs, assist with diagnosis and provide after sales support. Maintain detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, schematics, and service histories for all machinery Requirements Proven experience in fabrication and assembly shop management with a strong background in mechanical systems. Extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques Hands-on experience operating machines and trailers Familiarity with electrical wiring and hydraulic systems Strong mechanical knowledge across industrial equipment, diesel and gas engines.
