Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in an engaging educational environment near Vallejo, CA. This contract position runs the full school year, supporting students' growth and fostering independence in both an elementary setting and across K-12, offering a dynamic and meaningful experience.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in California Demonstrated experience in a school environment, ideally serving both elementary and K-12 students Strong communication and collaboration skills, working well with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Up-to-date knowledge of IEP processes and ability to write and implement effective therapy plans Genuine desire to help children achieve developmental and academic milestones
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, individually and in groups, addressing a range of sensory, motor, and adaptive needs Assess students' abilities and develop individualized intervention plans tailored to their unique strengths and areas for growth Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure integrated support Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress using clear and organized records Contribute to a positive school culture by sharing expertise, resources, and training with colleagues when necessary This full-year contract role brings you the unique chance to positively impact students' lives as you help them develop practical skills for the classroom and beyond.
