Position Overview We are seeking an experienced School-Based Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to support TK-12 students within a district near San Lorenzo, CA. This role is best suited for an OT who values clinical autonomy, strong collaboration, and meaningful functional outcomes within the educational setting. Core Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments in a school-based setting Develop IEP goals and educationally relevant recommendations that support student access, participation, and performance within the school environment Provide therapy targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional participation Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support inclusive classroom participation and access Adapt environments, tasks, and routines to support student engagement and independence Deliver services using student-centered, regulation-informed, and strengths-based approaches Maintain timely IEP documentation, progress reports, and compliance with school-based requirements Qualifications Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy Active California OT license + NBCOT certification required Minimum 2-3 years experience (school-based preferred) Strong experience with IEPs, assessments, and educational service delivery Ability to develop clear, functional, and legally defensible educational recommendations Strong collaboration and communication skills
