Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role centers on supporting elementary-aged students in a vibrant educational environment, playing a key part in their academic and social-emotional development. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and is onsite only, offering the chance to collaborate directly with students, teachers, and families.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state licensure or certification as a school psychologist (or eligibility to obtain it before start date) Demonstrated experience working with elementary school-age children Strong skills in assessment, data interpretation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational abilities Familiarity with special education processes, IEPs, and behavioral interventions Compassionate, student-centered approach with a commitment to educational equity
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations Interpret test results and write clear, actionable reports Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents/guardians Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans Deliver individual and group counseling or skill-building sessions as appropriate Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Contribute to data-driven intervention strategies and positive behavioral supports Maintain accurate records according to district and legal standards This contract position offers a consistent weekly schedule with 37.5 hours onsite, ensuring you can connect meaningfully with your caseload and the school community.
