Job Description

General Responsibilities Reporting directly to a Special Education Administrator, the School Psychologist provides a full range of school psychological services to children ages 0-21, including screening and assessment, designing remedial educational programs, and individual and group counseling. The School Psychologist participates as a member of the education team to determine the student's eligibility for special services and evaluates learning environments to meet
IEP/IFSP
goals and objectives. The School Psychologist serves as a liaison between the school and other agencies on behalf of children with disabilities and their families.

The full salary range for this position is $65,269.00 - $102,609.00. Salary placement is based on education and certificated experience.
Assignment/Location:
We are recruiting for a School Psychologist to serve the Goldendale, Centerville, Bickleton and Roosevelt school districts for the 2026-2027 school year. The start date will be August 2026 and it is full time, 185 days.
Regular attendance required:
This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.
Essential Functions:
Consult with parents, administrators, teachers and students concerning the educational and emotional needs of students. Prepare written goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of students. Provide individual and group counseling according to written goals and objectives. The areas include but are not limited to substance abuse, social skills training, crisis intervention, and short term therapeutic intervention. Provide inservice and staff development to assist staff to address student needs. Coordinate student services between the school and other agencies. Serve as a member of education team to help address the needs of students. Administer and interpret tests of intelligence, achievement, multi-aptitude and methods of behavioral and curriculum based assessment. Determine eligibility of children with disabilities. Work with teachers to establish individual education plans. Complete all required reports and records.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills Minimum Qualifications:
Hold or be eligible to hold a Washington state ESA school psychologist certificate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with state and federal laws relating to students with disabilities. Experience as a school psychologist or school counselor. Qualify for WA ESA school counselor certificate. Experience serving students in rural or remote districts. Experience serving migrant/bilingual student populaces.
Working Conditions/Employment Requirements Working Conditions:
Travel within ESD 112 Special Education ESA service region. May be assigned to more than one school building.
Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
