An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

The main purpose of the Cleaning and Environmental Technician is to execute Cleaning and Environmental project work assignments inland and offshore.
Essential Functions:
Work on land and offshore (GOA) Work loading and unloading materials Enter offshore tanks and remove products by handling hoses and pumps Clean offshore tanks after the removal of products Effectively apply company policy and procedures and enforces project standards Complete all required training Participate in Gulf Island safety program This position is On Call, working nights, weekends and holidays is a requirement Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

High School Diploma or GED Environmental Conditions:
80 to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors.
