The Baltimore VA Medical Center (VAMC) is part of the VA Maryland Health Care System and serves Veterans across the Baltimore region. Affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical Center and connected to it via a sky bridge, the facility offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including advanced specialties such as oncology, rehabilitation, and mental health care. Notably, it was the first medical center in the world to establish a filmless radiology department, reflecting its commitment to innovation and technology. The Baltimore VAMC also features a Radiation Oncology Clinical Care Center equipped with state-of-the-art systems, making it a key site for highly skilled professionals in medical physics, dosimetry, and radiation therapy.
