Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Take the next step in your surgical services career by joining a collaborative and supportive team dedicated to excellence in patient care. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) committed to assisting surgical teams and ensuring safe, efficient operating room environments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or proven experience as an OR Technician Proficiency with sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and OR protocols Previous experience assisting with a variety of surgical specialties Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and support staff during operative procedures Strong communication skills and attention to detail Active BLS certification Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Schedule:
Contract role with variable shifts—details provided during interview process
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up sterile tables, instruments, and supplies Assist surgical teams by passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and managing surgical specimens Monitor and maintain a safe and clean operative environment Support preoperative and postoperative patient care, including equipment preparation and transport Adhere to established protocols for infection control and safety standards Accurately track, handle, and count surgical instruments before and after procedures Maintain clear communication with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient care
