Job Summary The Career Readiness Educator is a non-clinical, programmatic role responsible for designing and delivering structured technology-based training for participants in a bridge housing setting. This role focuses on building digital literacy, foundational career skills, and workforce readiness through person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive instruction. The Career Readiness Educator supports participants in developing confidence, practical skills, and pathways toward employment, education, and successful community reintegration. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Delivery (Non-Clinical) Develop, coordinate, and deliver structured career preparedness training, including digital literacy, workplace fundamentals, job readiness, professional communication, and foundational career skills. Design and implement lesson plans, modules, and hands-on learning activities that support career exploration, skill development, and workforce readiness. Adapt instruction to meet varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of participants in a bridge housing setting Maintain a training schedule and ensure consistent delivery of group and individual instruction sessions Ensure training supports program goals, including skill acquisition, confidence building, and readiness for employment or further education Provide guidance and hands-on support with resume development, job applications, job search strategies, interview preparation, and navigating online employment resources. Additional duties as assigned Participant Engagement & Instructional Support Build rapport with participants using trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and strengths-based approaches Facilitate an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and skill development Monitor participant progress, engagement, and skill acquisition through observation and structured activities Provide coaching and support in developing problem-solving skills, digital confidence, and workplace readiness behaviors Communicate participant progress, challenges, or behavioral concerns to appropriate team members Documentation & Communication Accurately complete required documentation, including attendance, training progress, and program outcomes Track participant skill development and engagement Enter required program and billing-related information into designated systems in accordance with program guidelines Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, supervisors, volunteers, and external partners Collaboration & Program Support Coordinate with bridge housing and case management staff to align career preparedness activities with participant goals and discharge planning. Facilitate partnerships with guest speakers, training providers, and workforce development organizations to enhance program offerings Participate in team meetings, program planning sessions, and quality improvement initiatives Maintain training materials, equipment, and learning spaces, and request supplies as needed Positions Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or currently pursuing either Experience facilitating instruction, training, or group learning in education, workforce development, social services, or community-based programs Basic knowledge of computer systems, digital tools, and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, internet navigation) Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Experience teaching or supporting digital literacy, IT fundamentals, or vocational training programs Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, medical recovery, behavioral health conditions, or substance use disorders Bilingual (Spanish preferred) Training in trauma-informed care, adult learning, or workforce development Core Competencies Trauma-informed, person-centered instruction and engagement Cultural humility and responsiveness Professional boundary setting and scope adherence Instructional facilitation and learner engagement skills Ability to teach and support foundational digital and technical skills De-escalation and safety awareness (non-clinical) Accurate documentation and basic computer literacy (including EHR or program tracking systems) Collaboration and teamwork Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and ethical practice EEO/ADA Statement NHHA is an equal opportunity organization committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of service and employment.
