Job Coach II - Greenhouse Assistant

Job Description

For over 120 years, our mission has been dedicated to helping children and families overcome the overwhelming impact of severe emotional and behavior issues and trauma through services and programs that create opportunities for children to learn, grow and heal. We are seeking a full time, Job Coach II- Greenhouse, to provide support and supervision for students at work or educational training site. Duties may also include transporting students to and from various community locations, when staff holds bus driver certification. This position will:
The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Job Coach is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining a cohesive career and technical education program for main campus students, both on and off campus. This includes providing individual and group vocational instruction and coaching; overseeing student placement, performance, and payroll within CTE programming; conducting vocational assessments; and supporting agency-wide Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts through data collection, tracking, and analysis. The Job Coach provides direct care and supervision in accordance with the agency treatment model, ensuring student safety, skill development, and successful community-based vocational experiences.
Required:
1. Bachelor's Degree OR five years related vocational/educational experience. 2. Paraprofessional license or substitute teacher license. 3. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. 4.
Ability to obtain:
o School Bus Driver Permit o First Aid/CPR certification (within 90 days of employment) 5. Proficiency in PC-based software, including word processing and spreadsheet programs. 6. Demonstrated competency in basic math, reading, language arts, and core academic skills. 7. Must be at least 21 years of age per DCFS regulations.
Desired:
Experience/skills related to vocation and/or horticultural education. Experience in a special education environment or residential setting School bus driver permit. Job type : Full time
