The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in patient observation, home health, and senior or disability care, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. As a Weekend Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a variety of care settings. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and document patient vital signs, health status, and behavioral changes in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, community outings, or errands to promote social engagement and independence. Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to supervising healthcare professionals promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Support patients with medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and documentation of medications. Engage with clients compassionately, fostering respectful communication and emotional support tailored to their unique needs. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is preferred. Strong observational skills for monitoring patient health status and behavioral cues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks as needed. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities is beneficial. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
