Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Live-In professional to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in a residential or community setting. As a Caregiver/Live-In, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being while fostering a warm and respectful environment. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces. Use appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care strategies, memory care practices, and Alzheimer's care protocols. Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, home health care settings, hospice care, and long-term care facilities. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and basic nursing skills. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Competence in manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods ensuring safety during mobility support. Capable of managing heavy lifting tasks safely and assisting with transfers using proper patient transfer techniques. Experience in meal preparation tailored to specific dietary restrictions along with personal transportation assistance when needed.
