Job Description
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Part-Time•less than 36 hours a week Hours Vary. Applicants must be flexible and able to work other hours as needed, such as nights, weekends, and Holidays.SALARY 14.00
per hour to start, $0.50 raise after a 90-day probationary period $250 sign on bonus offered to eligible permanent shelter advocates at the conclusion of their probation.JOB SUMMARY
Provide support and services to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking in a shelter setting, in addition to providing crisis intervention services to survivors in person and over the phone.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement Shelter Programming following all Policies, Procedures, and Grant requirements. This includes working on established outcomes. Shelter Facility Operations, which include but are not limited to: Following all local, state, federal, and grant standards Ensure health and safety standards are maintained Ensure cleanliness and sanitation Complete Donation Process/stock after it is received Complete Debugging Process for soft goods Apply Guidelines as indicated in Shelter Manual Provide culturally sensitive, equitable, and trauma-informed domestic abuse and sexual assault victim services. This includes but is not limited to: Crisis intervention Supportive counseling Safety planning Advocacy Life skills education Information, resources, and referrals Answer and Provide Crisis Intervention Services via NDAC's Crisis Hotline following established policies and procedures. Abide by all established agency Policies, Procedures, and Grant requirements. Provide support services to survivors, including but not limited to crisis intervention, supportive counseling, safety planning, housing, medical, economic advocacy, education, resources, and referrals. Maintain confidentiality of all client information and data. Maintain the Safety and Security of the facility by monitoring the internal security system and following established procedures. Provide respite care for clients in shelter with children. Participate in relevant work-related training/education. Attend and participate in monthly All-Staff meetings. Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.OVERNIGHT SHIFT ONLY
Advocates are able to rest at work between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am as long as they are still able to respond and complete job responsibilities as needed immediately.RESPONSIBLE TO

Provide a safe haven and support services to victims of Family Violence and Sexual Abuse; and to provide Preventive Education which will challenge the cultural beliefs and attitudes about the use of abusive and controlling behaviors in our communities.QUALIFICATIONS
Work experience in a non-profit/human services organization preferred. Experience/knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic Abuse, Teen Dating Violence, and their impact on adults, youth, children, and society preferred. Must have the ability to complete all required training in established time frames. Must be sensitive to the issues of domestic violence/sexual assault and committed to the Mission Statement of New Day Advocacy Center. Must have proficient computer and keyboarding skills, with the ability to learn and utilize new software, spreadsheets, google suites, and e-mail. Must have above-average communication skills and communicate professionally and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.Pay:
