Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a School Social Worker serving elementary students in grades K-5. This contract role runs from ASAP through November 4th, 2026, with a possible extension. You'll enjoy a full-time, onsite schedule at a welcoming campus near Maple Park, IL, working from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM each day. Your expertise and dedication will help foster a supportive, inclusive school environment, empowering students to thrive both academically and socially. What you'll bring to the table: Valid Illinois SSW license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required Experience working as a school social worker, ideally within elementary settings Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff Ability to address a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs Talent for crisis intervention and providing short-term counseling Commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and a positive school culture Key responsibilities: Provide social-emotional support and guidance to K-5 students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to assess and address student needs Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEPs Serve as a resource for crisis management and conflict resolution Maintain case records, documentation, and compliance with school policies If you are passionate about creating lasting impact for children and have the required credentials, this is an excellent opportunity to further your career in an enriching school setting.
