Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students as a School Social Worker near the Maple Park area. This pivotal position is set to start as soon as possible, continuing through November 4th, 2026, with potential for extension. You'll provide critical support within a K-5 setting, working exclusively onsite to foster growth, well-being, and resilience among young learners. You will thrive in a collaborative environment dedicated to helping students achieve their best, supporting families, and partnering with educators to strengthen the school community. What we're looking for: Hold a valid IL School Social Worker (SSW) license and Professional Educator License (PEL) Prior experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children Ability to collaborate with faculty, families, and external agencies Strong communication, problem solving, and advocacy skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct support and interventions to at-risk students, including counseling and crisis response Developing and implementing individualized programs to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to create effective support plans Facilitating communication between the school, families, and community resources Documenting services, progress, and outcomes according to school and legal guidelines Promoting an inclusive, positive climate where every student is valued Benefits of working in this role include a consistent weekday schedule (8AM-3:35PM, full-time, Monday through Friday), immersion in a supportive school culture, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day.
