Ideal candidates bring expertise in school social work, are adept at advocating for and supporting diverse student populations, and are ready to collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators. The district requires a 310 certification for this position, ensuring candidates are well-qualified to address student needs and promote positive outcomes. What you'll need to succeed: Valid 310 Certification (required) Previous experience in a school social work setting strongly preferred Thorough understanding of child development, social and emotional needs, and crisis intervention Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to develop and implement interventions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Key responsibilities: Provide direct and indirect social work services to students, families, and school staff Participate in Individualized Education Planning (IEP) meetings and consult on student support strategies Address behavioral, social, and emotional barriers to academic success Provide crisis intervention as needed and connect families with outside community resources Maintain documentation in accordance with district and regulatory standards Foster an inclusive, supportive climate for all students This opportunity comes with an attractive compensation of $85 per hour, recognizing your expertise and commitment to student success.
