Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Parent Coach to empower families and strengthen parent-child relationships within diverse communities. In this role, you will serve as a trusted mentor and resource, providing guidance, support, and practical strategies to parents and caregivers. Your work will help families navigate challenges related to child development, mental health, substance use, and high-risk situations, fostering healthier environments for children to thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working directly with families from underserved backgrounds and culturally diverse populations. Duties Provide culturally sensitive coaching and mentoring to parents and caregivers, emphasizing strengths-based approaches. Support families in developing effective parenting skills, conflict management techniques, and caregiving strategies. Coordinate community resources to connect families with mental health services, addiction counseling, child & family services, and other local supports. Offer guidance on managing high-risk situations involving substance use disorders or mental health conditions within the family context. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information with professionalism and integrity. Facilitate workshops or one-on-one sessions focused on social work principles, child development, and family dynamics. Collaborate with community organizations to ensure comprehensive support tailored to the unique needs of each family. Experience Proven experience working with children and families in social work, community outreach, or related fields. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and individuals from underserved populations. Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions or substance use disorders through counseling or peer support roles. Strong background in community resource coordination, mentoring, and adult education or teaching. Familiarity with high-risk population support strategies, conflict management techniques, and caregiving best practices. Excellent client communication skills with an emphasis on cultural competency and confidentiality. Prior experience working with youth, families, or in child & family services is highly desirable. Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
