Summary:

As a Adult Outpatient Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health Program , you will be responsible for the following: Primary responsibility is to participate in the delivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations, and direct treatment for adults and families. Assess and document the needs of clients who present themselves for outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse services utilizing Person-Centered Planning principals. Provide individual and group therapy. Work collaboratively with others in relation to the client and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel and other family service or support people. Must meet all of the contractual requirements of the funding sources and/or agency, including maintaining State licensure. Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings and case consultations. Follow a professional code of ethics. Coordinate effective discharge planning prior to case closure. Complete 24 hours of training in the treatment of adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Other duties as needed. Regular working hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm. Flexible scheduling is available. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required based on program needs

Qualifications:

Education:

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling

Required Licensure:

Must hold one of the following active Michigan licenses:

LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, LLP

Experience:

Minimum 1 year post-Master's experience with adults with severe mental illness

•Required Must obtain QMHP and QIDDP credentials within 120 days of hire Must possess or be actively pursuing CAADC or MCBAP Development Plan within 6 weeks of hire CA02
