Varies Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Adult Outpatient Therapist to join an Adult Behavioral Health Program providing outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance use services to adults and families. The Therapist will provide clinical services including intake evaluations, assessments, individual and group therapy, care coordination, and discharge planning. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team and community providers. Key Responsibilities Participate in the delivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations and direct treatment for adults and families. Assess and document the needs of clients seeking outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance use services using Person-Centered Planning principles. Provide individual and group therapy. Develop and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with clients and families. Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, school personnel, family-service providers, and other support professionals as appropriate. Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations. Complete clinical records and agency documentation accurately and within established timelines. Maintain compliance with applicable funding-source, contractual, organizational, and licensing requirements. Follow applicable professional codes of ethics and standards of practice. Coordinate effective discharge planning prior to case closure. Complete required training related to the treatment of adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Maintain appropriate documentation and data in accordance with program requirements. Demonstrate cultural competency and provide services effectively to a diverse population. Perform additional duties as assigned based on program needs. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related qualifying field - Required. Current State of Michigan licensure corresponding to the candidate's degree/discipline - Required. Minimum of 1 year of experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness. Experience may include qualifying fieldwork or internship experience. Must be able to work independently. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to accurately track, prepare, and maintain required data and documentation. Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and scheduled instructions. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, families, staff, and community providers. Flexibility to adapt to changing program and client needs. Additional Credential Requirement Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential within 120 days of hire, as required. Individual programs may have additional qualifications or requirements.

Schedule Regular operating hours include:

Monday-Thursday:

8:30 AM-7:00

PM Friday:

8:30 AM-5:00

PM Saturday:

9:00 AM-1:00 PM Flexible scheduling is available. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required based on program needs.
