Work Environment This position is designed to be remote, providing flexibility for our therapists. However, you will also have the option to work from our outpatient office located in Irvington. This hybrid arrangement promotes work-life balance while enabling direct engagement with clients when needed. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories and associated mental health issues. Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and deeper-seated mental health challenges, ensuring a holistic approach. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that have been proven effective in substance abuse recovery. Engage actively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer recovery specialists, to ensure integrated and cohesive care. Educate and empower clients' families on their roles in the recovery process, fostering an environment of support that extends beyond therapy sessions. Document client progress meticulously and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory standards, furthering our commitment to quality care. Patient Population / Client Focus Our treatment center primarily serves adults facing a range of substance use disorders, often accompanied by mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues. You will work with a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and stories, providing tailored therapeutic interventions to meet their specific needs. Qualifications A validated license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). A relevant Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential. Specialized training or significant experience in addiction counseling is required, ensuring a high level of competency in this critical area of mental health. Solid understanding of evidence-based practices related to substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Exceptional therapeutic skills with an ability to engage, motivate, and inspire clients toward recovery. Strong interpersonal capabilities and communication skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration within a multidisciplinary setting. Preferred Experience Experience in a treatment center setting, particularly working with individuals who face both addiction and mental health challenges, is preferred. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a willingness to stay current on trends in addiction treatment will be beneficial. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from
USD 80,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
