Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy and behavioral therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes, including crisis management and de-escalation techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, treatment planning protocols, and HIPAA regulations to ensure quality patient care. Engage in telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure EMR/EHR systems while maintaining compliance with clinical ethical guidelines and medical documentation requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers—to coordinate care for clients with complex needs such as co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities. Provide specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, gender issues counseling, and pediatric or geriatrics support as needed. Maintain accurate clinical records, complete medical terminology documentation, and adhere to ICD coding conventions for billing and reporting purposes.
