The Group counselor provides structured outpatient group services for individuals receiving mental health and/or substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. The Group counselor leads or co-leads groups using person-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches. This role supports engagement, skill-building, relapse prevention, and wellness planning through evidence-based or promising practices approved by the Agency. The Group Facilitator maintains safety, professional boundaries, confidentiality, and timely documentation. Duties Support clients during daily activities, including intake procedures, behavior management, and behavior intervention strategies based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques Collect data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality Support clients with social work-related needs, including client communication, advocacy, and connecting them with appropriate resources Background in mental health care, substance use disorder treatment, or addiction counseling is preferred Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems and understanding of HIPAA compliance standards Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining patient confidentiality Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives personalized care that promotes independence, resilience, and well-being.
