First Parish in Malden is a Unitarian Universalist congregation seeking childcare providers and educators for this part-time position:

Hours:

Sundays mornings

•approximately 9:15 am to 1:30 pm, 1-2 Sundays a month The schedule will be determined based on your availability, but we are looking for someone interested in working at least 1-2x a month Contracts are available for people who want to work year-round or only during the school year. We guarantee at least 3 hours pay per shift, but many Sundays we'll need 4-4.5 hours.

Rate:

$20

•25 per hour depending on experience

•Payroll is issued every other week. This position provides childcare for children while parents/guardians are in worship services and other meetings on Sunday mornings. Childcare providers must be comfortable working with children of all ages, but especially infants and toddlers 0-5 years of age. Most of the play is child-directed in our play space, the Treehouse, but we will ask you to set up or lead activities on some days. Our safe congregation policy requires that two adults be present with the children, and we will maintain a ratio of 1:5. This position is supervised by the Director of Religious Education.

Duties consist of:

Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program. Demonstrate skills to properly address developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and staff and communicate effectively with all parties. Follow organization systems

•Have caregivers sign in and out children, have new families complete a visitor form, and respond promptly to email communication. Maintain a safe, clean, care-giving environment

•practice good personal hygiene and handwashing to assure the wellbeing and safety of all of children.
