Job Description
Overview A kind and fun-loving family of seven in Houston, Texas are seeking a full-time ROTA nanny for their 5 children under 10-years-old to start in the Fall. The general schedule will be one week on/one week off (24/7 live-in during shift), but flexibility is a huge component of the position. The new nanny will be rotating with a previously placed BAHS nanny. There will be extended travel in the winter and summer so nannies will do longer rotations during travel such as two weeks on/off over the holidays or 3 weeks on/off during summer. This is a loving and laid-back family who are looking for someone whose temperament can mesh with theirs. They would love to find someone who wants to stay with them long-term, and they are flexible on what the position looks like/how it grows. Responsibilities Full childcare working together with involved parents Meal prep/cooking and making/packing school lunches and snacks Child laundry Child-related organizing and restocking of diapers, wipes, etc. Helping keep common areas organized and tidy Qualifications Warm, good sense of humor, and able to go with the flow in an active family A good communicator and team player Organized and able to multi-task Proactive and know when to step in and out (for example, if the toddler is crying and mom is making dinner, nanny steps in to take toddler) Someone who can encourage independence and manners in the older children; with the older children, if they are playing independently, together, or with the parents, the ideal nanny will step back and go start on packing lunches or switch over laundry, for example Requirements It is vital that this nanny feels comfortable (and enthusiastic) about working on a team with another childcare provider in the home as well as with the parents who are involved Experience with multiple children including toddlers Able to travel in the summer and winter (including holidays) for multiple weeks Driver's license and clean driving record (vehicle provided for all work-related driving) Confident swimmer and happy to be in the water with children (pool and lake) Must be Texas based. The family is not relocating candidates, however, the nanny will live-in during shift so candidates within driving distance (Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, etc.) and happy to be live-out during week off are encouraged to apply Salary and Benefits $100-115k annually Standard benefits
