Job Description

Residential Counselor / Direct Care Staff RE Health Group, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Counselors (Direct Care Staff) to support children and adolescents receiving Level III Residential Treatment services. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy making a positive impact by mentoring youth and helping them develop life skills in a safe, structured environment. Pay $15.00-$18.00 per hour Job Type Part-time Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am Position Summary As a Residential Counselor, you will provide direct care, supervision, and support to youth in a residential group home. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment while encouraging positive behaviors, teaching daily living skills, and assisting residents in reaching their individual treatment goals. Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to residents. Build positive relationships and serve as a positive role model. Assist with daily living activities, meals, transportation, and recreational activities. Teach social, communication, and independent living skills. Support residents during emotional or behavioral challenges using approved intervention techniques. Monitor resident progress and report concerns to the treatment team. Complete accurate daily documentation and required reports. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment. Attend required staff meetings and training sessions. Follow all agency, Medicaid, and North Carolina Residential Treatment guidelines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. At least 1 year of experience working with children or adolescents preferred. Valid North Carolina driver's license with a good driving record. Personal vehicle insurance required. Ability to work evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays as needed. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications CPR and First Aid Certification. Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, mental health, social services, or youth care.
