Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming academic year. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide critical communication support across a district-wide setting in a vibrant educational community. The ideal professional will hold both a Pennsylvania SLP Certificate and a Teaching Certificate, with experience or interest in school-based speech services.
Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania SLP Certification required Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate required (must submit with resume) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience in K-12 educational settings highly valued Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site speech-language pathology services to a diverse student population across district schools (no virtual work at this time) Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals Provide direct speech and language therapy, both individual and group sessions Consult with teachers, parents, and other school staff to maximize student outcomes Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal education regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
