The key objective is to drive prudent financial decisions and support credit-risk strategies while ensuring adherence to governance and controls. This position will be part of a highly talented team with strong intellectual curiosity. The CFR Financial Insights Team is a project-based team committed to providing insightful analytics and informed recommendations to drive profitable growth. How will you make an impact in this role? This Manager role sits within Risk Finance and partners closely with Credit & Fraud Risk, Finance LFOs, EFP&A, Investor Relations, Marketing, Investment Optimization, and of course Technology to support enterprise decision‑making, planning, and forecasting. The role combines deep analytical expertise, AI‑enabled insight generation, automation leadership, and core TM1 ownership for critical finance and risk processes. You will lead complex, cross‑functional analytics that link risk actions to customer behavior, financial outcomes, and loss metrics, while also modernizing how insights and forecasts are produced through advanced analytics and automation. You'll influence and inform cross-enterprise strategic decision-making by performing nuanced analytics on card member and segment behavior as well as peer and industry trends, always keeping in mind profitability expectations and impact to losses. You'll evaluate actions/initiatives that span multiple businesses and produce cost/benefit analyses that quantify how the initiatives will increase revenue or reduce credit write-offs to inform prioritization of investment dollars. You'll drive awareness of data / insights / market / portfolio trends across businesses and proactively identify opportunities for analysis. You'll extract forward-looking insights that guide planning and forecasting assumptions within Risk Finance and across Corporate Planning. You'll contribute to our positive team culture by sharing knowledge and feedback with your colleagues, actively engaging in team discussions, and sharing ideas for how to continuously improve our collaboration and culture.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience in finance, risk analytics, or related analytical roles. BS/MS in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience working with large, complex datasets. Proficiency in SQL; strong experience with Python for analytics and automation. Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical concepts into clear business insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑influencing skills.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience partnering with data science teams on advanced analytics or AI‑enabled initiatives. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools. Hands‑on experience with IBM TM1 / PAW or similar enterprise planning systems. Familiarity with Lumi or large‑scale data environments is a plus. Proven track record of driving automation or process modernization in a finance or risk context.
