Job Description
The Role:
As the Dealer Sales Performance Analyst , utilizing data, Power BI, and AI , you will be a key contributor supporting the OnStar field sales and revenue growth operations teams with Power BI dashboards, SQL-driven data pipelines, and Glean agents that provide actionable insights to optimize dealer network performance, identify growth opportunities, and enhance strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and forecasting dealer sales performance across regions, zones, and districts while building and maintaining performance management dashboards, key initiative and pilot testing evaluations, and predictive analytics capabilities. The Analyst will leverage business and technical knowledge to deliver value and inform critical decision making , including sales and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a cross-functional environment. They balance day-to-day execution with process improvements and automation that drive efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.What You'll Do:
Power BI Reporting & Performance Insights Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor key sales and operational metrics for the dealer channel at national, regional, zone, district, and dealer levels. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of dashboard development, including requirements gathering, data modeling, DAX measure creation, UX design, testing, and deployment , using established standards and patterns. Provide regular performance summaries, including YTD and quarterly scorecards , for leadership reviews and field team discussions. Identify performance trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement, delivering clear, actionable recommendations in a concise, visual format. Data Engineering & Automation Use SQL to extract, join, cleanse, and aggregate data from multiple internal sources to create analysis-ready datasets that feed Power BI dashboards and performance reporting. Build and maintain reusable SQL views, procedures, and data pipelines that standardize KPI definitions and reduce manual reporting. Power Automate Leverage and related tools to streamline refresh processes, alerts, and workflow automation for key performance reports. Partner with reporting and IT teams to ensure data integrity, reliable refreshes, and consistent reporting standards across tools and platforms. Glean Agents & Self-Serve Analytics Contribute to the design, configuration, and maintenance of Glean agents that enable self-serve access to dealer and field performance insights (e.g., dealer scorecards, trends, definitions, and playbook content) using established frameworks and best practices. Translate performance dashboards and SQL logic into intuitive, conversational experiences that allow users to answer "what," "why," and "what to do next" questions about performance. Continuously monitor and improve agent responses, leveraging user feedback and data quality checks to enhance accuracy and usability. Forecasting & Predictive Analytics Build and maintain sales forecasts and predictive analytics to project dealer performance and revenue outcomes across regions, zones, and districts, using established methods and tools and partnering with senior analytics or data science teams where appropriate. Support scenario modeling and "what-if" analyses to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation (e.g., incentives, dealer support, campaigns), providing clear, insight-driven recommendations. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Support Work closely with Reporting, IT, Operations, Incentives, and Training teams to ensure that dealer performance insights are connected to program design, execution, and training content. Support leadership in preparing materials for business reviews, performance updates, and strategic planning sessions , leveraging Power BI outputs, SQL analyses, and Glean agent insights. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): You are naturally curious and get energized understanding the "why" behind the "what." 2+ years of relevant experience in performance and/or data analysis, dealer sales, automotive, or business operations. Proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making and drive effective solutions. Demonstrated experience building and managing Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders. Familiarity or strong interest in building AI agents (e.g., Glean) to improve self-serve analytics and performance support. Demonstrates sound independent judgment in dynamic situations, especially when leadership guidance is not immediately available. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders through accountability, follow-up, and delivering on commitments. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure project success and thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, believing in the power of innovation through differing viewpoints. Strong business knowledge across customer experience, business analytics, and sales/marketing analytics . Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Power Automate, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel . Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent work experience. What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications) Analytical experience supporting a subscription business . Working knowledge of Connected Vehicle services , including OnStar, Wi‑Fi, and related products (e.g., Super Cruise, Google Built-In, etc.). Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or related discipline). #LI-JT2 GM
