Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this position is to support internal stakeholders in resolving technology issues, solving basic technical problems and providing support for all assigned areas. Candidates should have a mix of technical and customer service skills and be passionate about technology and helping people. The Computer Network Support Specialist will support PCs, printers, fax machines, copiers, audio-visual equipment, etc. A+ Certification or demonstrated equivalent experience preferred. Knowledge Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Telecommunications — Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems. Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services. English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Work Styles and Abilities Deductive Reasoning — The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem. Inductive Reasoning — The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is required, associate degree in technology preferred A+ Certification, or demonstrated equivalent experience is preferred Two (2) years of experience in Information Technology. Excellent customer service and strong troubleshooting skills required. Experience working within a residential treatment facility is encouraged. Good understanding of networking, computer repair and virtual technologies. Knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls and other edge security devices Ability to manage an Office 365 environment Ability to work with both technical and nontechnical personnel to solve IT related problems. Knowledge of basic networking technologies like LAN, WAN and Wireless connectivity Knowledge of Windows 7 & Windows 10 Operating Systems required Competent with software technologies and virus protection software systems Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
