Job Description
The secondary school testing/data specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of standardized testing with the high school, ensuring compliance with district, state and federal testing requirements. This role also involves analyzing and interpreting data to support school improvement initiatives and student achievement. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Key responsibilities include: Plan, organize, and oversee the administration of all standardized tests, i.e., SAT, ACT, and AP exams Ensure compliance with all testing protocols and security procedures Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and external testing agencies to schedule and administer tests Train and supervise staff involved in testing processes, including proctors and assistants Maintain accurate records of testing materials, distribution, and collection Address and resolve any issues that arise during testing periods Collect, analyze, and interpret student performance data from various assessments Generate reports and data visualizations to support school leadership in making data-driven decisions Monitor student progress and identify trends to inform instructional strategies and interventions Maintain a secure and organized database of student testing records and results Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reporting Work closely with teachers and administrators to align testing schedules with instructional priorities Communicate testing schedules, procedures, and expectations clearly to students, parents, and staff Serve as the primary point of contact for all testing-related inquiries and issues Collaborate with district personnel to ensure alignment with district-wide testing initiatives and policies Stay current with best practices in educational assessment and data analysis Attend relevant training sessions and professional development opportunities Provide training and support to staff on the use of data for instructional improvement
