Job Description

Position:
Sr. Data Center Operations (DCOPS) Engineer Key Responsibilities Design and evolve Data centre network architecture (L2/L3, segmentation, redundancy models) Define standards for VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and firewall policies Research and evaluate emerging technologies in switching, firewalling, and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) to maintain a competitive edge. Own configuration and lifecycle of switches and firewalls Lead complex network changes and migrations with minimal downtime Troubleshoot and resolve advanced L1-L3 issues (latency, packet loss, asymmetric routing) Optimize network performance and resiliency Drive network and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Python, APIs) Implement Infrastructure as Code for network configurations Build self-service capabilities for VLANs, IPs, and firewall rules Design and enforce network security architecture Own firewall strategy and segmentation models Required / Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data center operations, network engineering, or infrastructure engineering. Deep expertise in networking (TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, routing, switching) Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches and firewalls Strong experience troubleshooting complex network and hardware issues Experience designing highly available and scalable network architectures Experience with NetDevOps / network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs) Understanding of Kubernetes networking and overlay/underlay models Experience with observability and telemetry systems
