Job Description:
seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Center Engineer with a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills. This individual will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, and implementation of on-premises infrastructure solutions and data centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing virtualization platforms, storage systems, and automation technologies, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This individual will play a critical role in modernizing our compute, virtualization, storage, and automation platforms to support resilient, scalable, and secure operations. We are looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can lead complex technical implementations, and is an effective communicator across business and IT stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support data center infrastructure including Cisco HX (UCS), Nutanix HCI, VMware vSphere/vSAN, and Cohesity. Lead projects for infrastructure modernization, automation, and disaster recovery enablement. Automate provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet. Administer Linux and Windows environments; ensure performance, availability, and compliance. Manage
DNS, DHCP, IPAM
; collaborate on routing, switching, and firewall designs. Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis. Develop and maintain SOPs, configuration documentation, and runbooks. Travel as needed to support infrastructure deployments and data center operations. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Experience managing enterprise DNS and InfoBlox platforms.
Required:
7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or data center operations. Expertise with Cisco HX/UCS, VMware vSphere, Nutanix HCI, and Cohesity. Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL) and Windows Server platforms. Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet. Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls). Scripting ability in Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Proven ability to lead, communicate across teams, and deliver technical results. Willingness to relocate to one of the designated offices prior to full-time hire. Experience with enterprise DNS management and InfoBlox platforms.
Preferred:
Bachelor s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications:
VCP, RHCE, Nutanix NCP, CCNP, Azure/AWS Associate. Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Prometheus). Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
