Full Job Description Primary Purpose:
Perform supervisory duties such as coaching, training, motivating, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews of assigned departmental staff in order to ensure accurate and timely completion of all departmental assigned duties. Identify & Manage company IT & IS-related needs, act as a liaison, and provide oversight of 3rd Party IT Support vendor.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage assigned department staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Monitor and coordinate staff training to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a knowledge base and backup for department processes and procedures and/or ensure cross-training is in place.
  • Schedule and attend regular meetings with IT Vendor to ensure proper response, resolution & escalation are in place.
  • Research and monitor ongoing industry developments and identify and recommend potential new technologies.
Develop, assist with, and support the implementation of short- and long-term project proposals. Be available as an information and technology resource for others in the company. Assist with troubleshooting of issues and testing updates related to PDT IS Department-supported applications. Expand technical knowledge and management capabilities by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences related to the medical information management industry. Job Specifications (KSAs): Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, or a related field is required. Five or more years of practical work experience in a healthcare environment. Must have strong management, organization, communication, and decision-making skills Requires the ability to perform a variety of complex tasks requiring exercise of independent judgment. Must be able to work on several projects at a time. Requires the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English and other general educational skills.
