Job Description

Position Summary:
The Information Systems Manager is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and management of the networked information system which includes the Players Tracking System, on-line slot system, security controls, back-ups, telecommunications and the day-to-day management of the networks hardware and software systems. The Information Technology Manager is also responsible for providing assistance and technical training to the staff members in the area of computer systems and operations, including IBM PC compatible hardware systems and running Windows 2000/XP operating systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Casino's Player Tracking and on-line slot systems. Responsible for the development, administration and enforcement of the departments operating policies to ensure compliance with the internal controls. Oversees the system administration, user access and security of the Casino's database management systems and ensures the integrity and protection of the electronically stored information. Performs backups of file server operating systems and the data and applications stored on the file servers and maintains a tape/media library in a secure location in order to ensure the protection of the Casino's electronically stored data. Provide technical assistance to staff when new programs are installed and provide training on security codes and uses. Coordinates the acquisition of computers and associated software and peripherals following approved purchasing and procurement procedures including justification of expenditures, selection of products, selection of vendors, preparation of requisitions, and monitoring subcontractor's performance. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional, courteous, and positive public relationship with all public and private establishments to ensure that the proper image of the Casino is being projected. Recommend employee training and ensure that training opportunities are provided. Resolve complaints or minor grievance, and advise employees on matters related to less than adequate performances. Keep employees informed of management policies and goals for the IT Department. Perform supervisory functions, including, but not limited to, staffing, scheduling, performing evaluations, leave requests, and employee development. Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to, or modified as deemed necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and in written text. Individual should be able to express themselves in a clear and concise manner. Knowledge and ability to comprehend, interpret, and convey rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to function effectively under pressure of time and/or demands of several tasks at once by organizing and prioritizing workload. Knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of duties and activities concerned with management, to include personnel, finance, and records management systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information pertinent to the nature of the work. Must possess strong written and oral communications skills. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management of Information Systems or a closely related field, is preferred. One (1) to two (2) years working experience in Information Systems or Information Technology, is required. One (1) year of previous supervisory experience, is required. Must possess excellent computer skills in the areas of Microsoft Office and advanced software applications, is required. Knowledge of specialized casino data software systems, is preferred. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Qualified American Indian Preference applies.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be able to pass extensive background investigation for the issuance, and retention, of gaming license. Must possess and maintain a valid, state-issued driver's license, submit a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving history, and be eligible for Tribal vehicle insurance.
Pay:
$109,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
