The Senior Systems Administrator oversees the design, maintenance, and optimization of critical enterprise systems that support academic and administrative operations across the college, with an annual salary of $79,844. The position leads technical infrastructure initiatives and ensures the security, performance, and reliability of Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and administer Windows Server, Linux, and hypervisor platforms including VMware and Hyper-V to support academic and administrative networks Oversee system security protocols, backup operations, disaster recovery planning and testing, and performance monitoring across all infrastructure systems Administer campus-wide email systems and identity management platforms, including Active Directory object creation, schema changes, and policy compliance audits Lead technical analysis and strategic recommendations for virtualization upgrades, hardware acquisitions, cloud applications, and infrastructure improvements Coordinate vendor relationships, create comprehensive configuration and procedure documentation, and provide technical training to staff

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience 2+ years administering enterprise infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V, TCP/IP networking, active directory, and Google Workspace Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or Linux certifications preferred Ready to take the next steps in your career?
