Job Description
The Michigan Conference of Teamsters Welfare Fund ("Fund") was established in 1949. The Fund, as a Taft-Hartley plan, seeks to provide its participants and their eligible dependents the highest quality of administrative services and a broad range of cost-effective health and welfare benefit package choices, utilizing provider networks that employ the highest professional standards and that provide participants and their eligible dependents with the greatest possible access. The goal of the Fund is to be the best group health plan option among all available group health plans and insurers to meet the health and welfare benefit needs of Teamster members and their eligible dependents. The Fund has immediate availability for a Systems Administrator for our Benefit Administration unit. This is a salaried, non-represented position which reports to the Director of Benefit Administration. This role supports our Claims Processing systems and partners. Key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Daily uploading of Claims, Referrals and Prior Authorizations Files.
- Processing disability checks and positive pay files.
- EOB and Check validation and corrections.
- Work closely with various vendors to find a solution.
- Assignment of tickets by Internal Departments to our Claims System vendor.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining access and security controls on external systems.
- Monitoring and validation of incoming and outgoing EDI files.
- Maintaining Benefit Schedules, maintaining and updating B-Codes and B-Code groups, Medical Carrier Message codes, quarterly procedures and diagnosis code updates in our vendors system.
- Add, update, and maintain rules, roles, security, and integrity.
- Troubleshoot claims errors with the Claims Manager.
- Policy and procedure updates. The successful candidate will have
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
