We provide paid on-the-job training and support for industry certifications (CEDIA, etc.) to help you level up your technical chops Job Overview We are seeking a Service Manager / Lead Programmer who thrives on the "puzzle" of troubleshooting. This isn't just a desk job; you will be the technical "tip of the spear" in the field, handling complex service calls and high-end programming. You'll serve as a de-escalation expert for frustrated clients, a mentor for greener technicians, and a proactive teammate who jumps in to help on installs whenever there is downtime.
Responsibilities Master Troubleshooter:
Diagnose and resolve complex AV, networking, and automation issues, moving beyond "rebooting the cable box" to find deep-rooted solutions
Expert Programming:
Take ownership of programming and commissioning systems, primarily using Control4 and
Lutron Client Relations:
Act as the face of the company during service visits; use your soft skills to listen to client concerns and provide confidence that "you've got this"
Field Leadership:
Manage your own daily dispatch/schedule and provide informal mentorship to junior technicians on job sites
Proactive Support:
During service lulls, assist with rack builds, trim-outs, and documentation (D-Tools/Slack) to ensure projects stay on track
Resourcefulness:
Utilize all available tools—from manufacturer tech support to AI—to solve problems efficiently within a 20-minute diagnostic window
QualificationsRequired Qualifications Deep Technical Experience:
5+ years of experience in residential AV integration and service
Programming Proficiency:
Strong, "rockstar" level capabilities in Control4 and
Lutron Networking Fundamentals:
Experience with Araknis, Eero, and Ubiquiti/UniFi systems. The "Service Mindset": A natural problem-solver who enjoys the pressure of service calls and takes pride in a "clean" final result
Zero Ego:
A "VP and Janitor" mindset—willing to crawl through a crawlspace one hour and talk to a high-net-worth homeowner the next Preferred Qualifications Experience with Savant and Josh.ai Experience with automated Shades and lighting control Proficiency with D-Tools or similar project management/documentation software A passion for the mountain lifestyle (skiing, hiking, etc.)
Compensation Hourly Rate:
$30.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience and programming depth)
Relocation:
