Job Description
Overview Kobus Technologies is seeking an MSP Support Technician II to join our growing Managed Services team. This position provides hands-on technical support across workstation, server, network, and Microsoft 365 environments for multiple business clients. The ideal candidate has real-world IT support experience , strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to take ownership of technical issues through resolution. This is a client-facing position that includes both remote and onsite support, so professionalism, dependability, communication skills, and reliable transportation are essential. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve escalated workstation, server, Microsoft 365, and network issues Support Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and general network connectivity issues Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, managed switches, wireless access points, and other network equipment Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and Microsoft 365 environments Perform server maintenance, patching, backup monitoring, and disaster recovery support Install, configure, and deploy workstations, servers, and network equipment Assist with Hyper-V and VMware virtualized environments Provide professional remote and onsite support to business clients Take ownership of assigned service tickets and communicate progress with clients and team members Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps, configurations, passwords, assets, and network changes Follow established security, documentation, and service procedures Identify and recommend hardware, software, security, and infrastructure improvements when appropriate Required Qualifications 2+ years of professional, hands-on IT support experience Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and business IT environments Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and VPNs Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues beyond basic help desk support Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of assigned work Dependable attendance and ability to report to scheduled client appointments Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite client support Preferred Qualifications Previous Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience Windows Server administration experience CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Server+ certification Microsoft certifications Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware Experience configuring business-class firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, and wireless networks Experience with RMM, PSA/ticketing, documentation, and remote-support platforms Experience with endpoint security, backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity solutions PowerShell or other scripting experience
