Job Summary Under general supervision, the IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and other technology resources by focusing on help desk support and user assistance. This role reports to the IT Director and requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to dependable support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Technical Support Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person assistance Troubleshoot and resolve Windows operating system issues Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices Support printer setup, configuration, and troubleshooting across the office environment Document all support requests and resolutions in ticketing system Hardware Management Perform basic hardware installations and replacements Set up new workstations for employees Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies Assist with equipment moves and office relocations as needed User Support Train users on basic software applications and system functions Create and maintain user accounts and access permissions Assist with password resets and account lockout issues Provide guidance on best practices for technology use
Other Duties:
Maintain adherence to company service protocols, confidentiality guidelines, and quality expectations. Participate in ongoing training, performance reviews, and team meetings. Maintains compliance with company policies and procedures, local regulations, and recommended best practices. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Entry-level position
  • no prior professional IT experience required Demonstrated interest in technology and problem-solving Technical Skills Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems Familiarity with common office software applications Understanding of printer setup and basic troubleshooting Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DHCP, and network connectivity troubleshooting Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Personal Attributes Customer service oriented with patience and professionalism Ability to work independently while following direction from IT Director Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Willingness to learn new technologies and processes Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic Ability to work independently as needed and collaboratively within a team environment.
Reliable transportation to work and attendance based on work schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, crawl, kneel for extended periods while working at a desk or computer station, including working in smaller spaces such as under desks or in server rooms. Occasional lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as hardware, equipment, or office supplies, with or without assistance. Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as typing, using office equipment, or operating a computer. Ability to travel locally between work locations for IT service needs. Must be able to work in an office environment and server rooms with varying noise levels and other environmental factors such as temperature and dust.   • Friday, 8am
  • 4pm, anticipated to work 40 hours per week. May need to work weekends occasionally as needed based on business demands. Schedule may vary depending on projects and task requirements. Compensation Base hourly rate of $20.00
