Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-time IT professional to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will provide essential technical support to ensure smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, assist users with hardware and software issues, and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient technology environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your IT skills while supporting a collaborative workplace. Duties Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Manage help desk systems and customer support tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution of user inquiries. Support computer networking tasks such as LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, firewall configurations, and network troubleshooting to maintain optimal connectivity. Assist with desktop support activities including equipment setup, hardware repairs, and software installations. Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies (GPO) to ensure secure user access. Support IT infrastructure components such as servers (Windows Server), BMC Remedy ticketing system, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Meraki networking devices, and operating system updates. Collaborate with team members on network administration tasks like configuring TCP/IP settings and maintaining LAN/WAN connectivity. Contribute to the documentation of technical procedures and assist in equipment troubleshooting for mobile devices and computer hardware. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with help desk systems like Jira or BMC Remedy. Strong technical troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, network systems, and operating environments. Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls, and network security best practices. Experience supporting Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, Linux operating systems, and mobile devices. Ability to manage customer support tickets effectively while providing excellent customer service. Familiarity with Active Directory management, GPO configuration, SCCM deployment strategies, and network administration tools like Meraki or Cisco devices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users. Understanding of IT infrastructure components such as routers, switches, DNS servers, DHCP services, and hardware troubleshooting techniques.
