Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Cary, NC. The ideal candidate will design and optimize scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ADF, Kafka, and Spark to support enterprise data integration and migration initiatives.

Rate Range:

$53/Hour to $54/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines using Azure Databricks, ADF, Kafka, and Azure Data Lake. Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions using SQL, Python, PySpark, or Scala to support enterprise data integration needs. Implement and support Data Lake/Lakehouse architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. Lead data migration initiatives from legacy platforms, including Postgres databases, to Azure cloud environments using APIs and modern integration tools. Apply data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, and access control standards across data platforms. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Scrum teams, and project stakeholders to deliver scalable and cost-effective data engineering solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and cloud data solutions. Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, Python/PySpark, and Postgres database migrations. Proven experience building batch and real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, and big data technologies, along with expertise in ETL/ELT development and data integration.
