HOSTING A HRING EVENT ON MAY 20TH AT 9 AM 1810 TURQUOISE CIRCLE WINTERHAVEN CA 92283 MUST PASS DRUG TEST MUST HAVE A SATISFACTORY BACKGROUND MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE LOOKING TO HIRE 3 MAINTENANCE WORKERS. ONE MAINTENANCE I AND TWO MAINTENANCE III JOURNEYMAN LEVEL WITH ELECTRICIAN EMPHASIS AND PLUMBING EMPHASIS. JOB EXPECTED TO LAST UNTIL DECEMBER 2026.
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on Rental and/or Homeownership Units under the supervision of either the Maintenance or Construction Supervisor. Must be able to demonstrate journeyman skill level knowledge of home repair methods and techniques through participation in building trades course work or previous work experience. Must be willing to follow direction and demonstrate residential renovation and maintenance skills through diligence, hard work, and attention to detail. Responsibilities 1. Achieve the goals and mission of the Quechan Housing Authority. 2. Must be responsible, dependable, and professional. 3. Ability to lead a team, possess strong leadership skills. 4. Perform electrical repairs including circuit troubleshooting. 5. Advanced framing knowledge and experience. 5. Perform whole house plumbing repairs. 6. Ability to lift heavy objects and assist in moving heavy objects to and from units. 7. Performs duties related to various types of demolition in rehabilitation of units. (This includes but is not limited to concrete, stucco, masonry, drywall and wood demolition). 8. Coordinates with others in performing renovation of vacant units, as outlined in the inspection sheets. 9. Performs drywall repairs such as patching or replacement of sheetrock along with taping and texturing. 10. Execute door and hardware installation. 11. Paints interior and exterior of units including; prepping, masking, and spray painting. 12. Replaces wall, shower, and floor tile. 13. Performs cleaning and sanitizing of units during all phases of renovation and for final inspection. 14. Performs advanced carpentry repairs. 15. Replace various fixtures and breakers. 16. Re-key locks as needed. 17. Performs landscaping and trenching work as needed. 18. Completes work orders, estimates, scheduling, and prepare project reports on the office computer. 19. Demonstrates physical and emotional capabilities adequate to meet the demands of assigned duties. 20. Assist with QHA Community events; may require working on weekend or after hours from time to time. 21. Safeguard the confidentiality of company documents, tenant information, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality on all matters pertaining to QHA. 22. Responsible for the safekeeping of QHA vehicles, tools, and equipment including Perform regular equipment maintenance as directed. 23. Must be able to deal courteously, effectively and efficiently with a variety of professional staff, maintain effective working relationship with people of varied socioeconomic, educational and cultural background, and interact positively with the general public. 24. Must be willing to attend training courses in the building trades such as plumbing, electrical, drywall, HVAC, solar, and carpentry that result in a certification. 25. Must be available in emergency situations. 26. Performs duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Designated Supervisor.

$17.50 - $19.50 per hour
