You will play a key role in documenting, analyzing, and supporting decisions around roadway assets, helping ensure traffic control devices and infrastructure are accurately tracked, assessed, and maintained. We provide stable, hands-on work for skilled trades professionals in a safety-focused environment where your expertise helps keep essential systems running. What You Will Do You will support roadway infrastructure and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
Conduct field data collection and inventory of roadway assets, including: Traffic signs and structures Pavement markings and markers Guardrail systems Maintain and update asset data in tracking systems and reports Review and interpret roadway plans, specifications, and standards Analyze data to support maintenance planning and contractor work Prepare detailed documentation, reports, and contract support materials Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or improvement opportunities in asset data Support outsourcing and contract-related data requirements Work independently to compile accurate, decision-ready information What You Bring Experience in traffic engineering, roadway maintenance, or construction Familiarity with asset management or inventory systems CADD experience (MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar) Experience supporting contracts or public-sector projects Experience with roadway, traffic control devices, or infrastructure data Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents Strong attention to detail and ability to organize complex information Proficiency with Excel and basic data tracking/reporting tools Valid driver's license Why Join Us Work on infrastructure that directly impacts public safety and mobility Gain exposure to both the engineering and operations sides of transportation Build in-demand skills in asset management and infrastructure data Be part of a team supporting large-scale roadway systems Work Environment Mix of office and field-based work Site visits to assess roadway assets Independent work with structured deliverables and deadlines Occasional outdoor work at project locations Benefits Paid training and certifications Overtime opportunities 15 days
