This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle the passengers and adhere to the safety of the bus while in motion. Duties Operate commercial vehicle, specifically, full size 66 passenger bus with air brakes Check In each student as they enter the bus and ensure each students exits the bus. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Travel round trip, less than 5 miles, with passengers, for minimum of 25 minutes to 45 minutes total. Communicate effectively with director any conflicts in scheduling at least 24hours prior to scheduled hour of driving. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of bus driving principles. Experience required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road. Good communication skills for effective interaction with elementary aged students and co-workers.
