How You'll Make an Impact We are seeking a patient and dependable Private Transportation Driver to foster a calm, supportive environment during daily school commutes. In this role, you will assist students with safe boarding and securement, and serve as a comforting presence for the families we serve.

Schedule:

Full-time, split-shift (Morning Pickups & Afternoon Drop-offs) Essential ResponsibilitiesPassenger Care & Support Assist with

Boarding:

Safely guide students during entry and exit, assist with securement systems as needed.

Support Student Well-Being:

Maintain a calm, supportive environment tailored to individual student needs and address non-emergency care gently.

Driving & Route Operations Execute Daily Routes:

Drive assigned routes on schedule while strictly observing all traffic laws and safe driving practices.

Maintain Vehicle Standards:

Keep the vehicle clean and immediately report mechanical or maintenance issues to dispatch.

Essential Qualifications Driving Record:

Valid California Driver's License with a clean record (no DUI or major violations in the last 3 years).

Vehicle Requirement:

Access to a reliable vehicle (2012 or newer).

Background & Health Clearance:

Ability to pass FBI/DOJ live-scan fingerprinting, pre-employment drug screening, and a DOT physical clearance.

Certifications:

CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Relevant Experience:

Experience in professional driving (transit, delivery, ride-share) or direct experience working with individuals with special needs.

Core Skills:

Patient, compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bonus Qualifications Previous experience as a school bus driver, non-emergency medical driver, or special education paraprofessional. Certified training in crisis de-escalation or specialized physical support techniques.
