Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to scheduled delivery times and optimizing travel plans. Handle heavy lifting with proper safety practices to load and unload products at retail stores or client locations. Build positive customer relationships through professional communication, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction. Conduct merchandising activities by organizing products during delivery stops and maintaining presentation standards. Follow DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices at all times to ensure compliance and safety. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pricing details, and client interactions for record-keeping purposes. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices for heavy items. Basic math skills for handling pricing, measurements, and transaction calculations. Excellent communication skills for client communication and team coordination. Previous retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safety protocols. Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial driving standards is highly desirable.
