Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cattle Hauling Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting livestock, primarily cattle, across various routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure the timely and secure delivery of livestock to farms. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped for livestock transport, commodities to the Farm. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules for all customers. Load and unload cattle with manual handling techniques while ensuring animal welfare and compliance with animal safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazardous materials regulations when applicable, and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, including flatbed or tanker units as required for specific loads. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transport. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly in livestock or agriculture transportation. Familiarity with cattle trailers, flatbed trailers, and cargo handling techniques. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Delivery driver experience involving route driving across long distances with a focus on load & unload procedures. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual loading/unloading tasks efficiently. Strong understanding of road conditions and ability to adjust accordingly. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 - 64.0 per week
